These "featured" works will change over time but are a combination of my awarded and/or exhibition
paintings and others that just have special meaning to me.

Having grown up with an architect father, structure and design have always intrigued me. The power and strength
of a city’s steel and glass provide ample inspiration in depicting the complexities of urban architecture. At
the same time I am drawn to the simplicity and elegance of the windows and doorways of the city, the countryside
and locations abroad.

For more than a decade I lived in the heart of the city and was surrounded by magnificent skylines and cityscapes
as well as city parks, streets and alleyways. All of these present an opportunity to seek out the unique colors in
what some might consider only grey concrete and steel. I especially enjoy painting the beautiful skies that provide
the backdrop and contrast for my city scenes.

The desert and tropical locales have been among my favorite places to visit. The lively colors both invigorate and relax
me and I find incredible beauty in the vistas and in the indigenous flora and fauna. Now that I am a permanent Arizona
resident I am able to enjoy its year-round desert climate and the unique works of nature it offers.

The golf environment has been a constant in my life since early childhood and no matter where I play,
the many shades of green and the trees and foliage give me a sense of peace and joy. This, I hope to
convey I my golf scenes. The nuances of course architecture found in various climates fascinates me too.
Be it the lush forests of the Midwest, the powerful ocean vistas of coastal and island golf or the quiet
serenity of the desert, the colorful scenes are sure to inspire a feeling of relaxation.

Sometimes I am intrigued by and compelled to paint something that may not fit in to a traditional
category. Here you will find some of these miscellaneous inspirations.

 |
Since I have lived in the city for many years, my urban works have their own category. However,
nature has a way of lending its brilliant colors and shapes to an endless variety of places
outside the city. My MN roots have given me a particular appreciation for trees.

 |
Many of my works involve the human body and how it works. Most important to me though,
are the works I paint of my special people. We now have toddler "grand-twins" and
another granddaughter, all of whom provide ample "material" for painting ideas.

The beauty and freshness of flowers always bring light to a dreary day and I make every effort to always
have them in my home. One can also find a stronger beauty in the many varieties of trees that surround us.
In my paintings I strive to convey my wonder and love for these beauties of nature. Additionally, beauty can
also be found in the work of human hands such as the gentle curve of a musical instrument or the twinkle of
light on glass.

The holiday season always excites and delights me so I strive to capture these emotions in my card designs.
Some may be inspirational, others fun or quirky. Cards are available in two sizes and may be customized.
